High Point (N.C.) Regional Health System will soon have 75 new employees, as current food service workers who are employed by Aramark Healthcare Support Services join the hospital's staff, according to a High Point Enterprise report.
High Point Regional is choosing to not renew its current contract with Aramark, which is expiring soon. Since High Point Regional merged with Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care last year, food services will be led by UNC Health Care, according to the report.
The employees will be paid the same salary, and "it will be a seamless transition," a system spokesperson told HPE. All 75 of the employees were previously employees of High Point before Aramark took over the system's food services.
However, three of the Aramark employees working at High Point Regional chose to remain employed by Aramark and will be transferred to another location, according to the report.
