Banning, Calif.-based San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital has entered into exclusive affiliation talks with nonprofit Loma Linda (Calif.) University Health and Adventist Health in Roseville, Calif.
The parties will spend the coming months working to finalize the affiliation. If a deal is reached, it will have to receive approval from voters in the district.
San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Chair Jerilynn Kaibel said the agreement will improve the quality of care and extend the range of services available to residents in the region, according to the report.
"Adventist Health is very pleased to have the opportunity to bring our successful experience in community hospitals to this partnership with Loma Linda University Health and San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital," said Bob Beehler, vice president for market development/mergers and acquisitions at Adventist Health. "Together we will work tirelessly to provide high quality healthcare to the San Gorgonio Pass communities."
