St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City and Share Medical Center in Alva, Okla., have formed an affiliation, according to an Alva Review-Courier / Newsgram report.
Share Medical Center and St. Anthony are located approximately 152 miles apart. Share, a rural hospital, is one of five hospitals in the state selected for a high-level affiliation, which provides advanced care of rural patients by teaming with a larger, urban facility. The partnership will offer monthly on-site clinical visits by St. Anthony cardiologists. It will also allow for more timely patient transfers from Share to St. Anthony.
