Asheville, N.C.-based health systems CarePartners Health Services and Mission Health announced they have entered into a nonbinding memorandum of understanding in which CarePartners will become an affiliated member of Mission Health.
The systems have collaborated frequently in recent years to provide services across patients' care continuum, according to a news release. Due diligence will begin immediately, although no expected date of completion or financial details of the proposed affiliation were announced.
Mission Health operates six acute-care hospitals throughout North Carolina. CarePartners operates several outpatient facilities and focuses on post-acute care services such as rehabilitation, home health, palliative care and hospice.
