Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare purchased 24 MedSpring urgent care centers from Fresenius Medical Care, a network of dialysis and outpatient centers.
With the purchase in the Texas cities of Austin, Dallas and Houston, HCA will operate 160 urgent care facilities nationwide
The urgent care clinics will be rebranded to CareNow Urgent Care.
"The addition of these urgent care centers will complement our already robust healthcare networks and help us provide more convenient access for our patients," said HCA Healthcare CEO Sam Hazen.
