Doctors Medical has been running with a deficit of $17 million annually, according to the report. It needs a partner to continue operating; however, details of what a partnership would entail are not clear.
According to the report, hospital leaders do not want to sell the hospital, and the talks with Avanti Hospitals are preliminary.
