Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, N.Y., and Montour Falls, N.Y.-based Schuyler Hospital have created a new health network, called Cayuga Health System, that is designed to include other hospitals that could help improve healthcare in the region.
Cayuga Medical and SchuylerHospital created the network to help prepare for the future and the changes in healthcare delivery, and the organizations are already looking for ways to use the network to enhance patient care in their service area.
"Our goal is to keep healthcare services local and to collaborate in a long-term vision that will result in the delivery of a high-level of care in both our communities," said Andrew Manzer, president and CEO of Schuyler Hospital.
