Capella Healthcare, Saint Thomas Health Restructure Management for New Partnership

Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare announced a management restructuring for the four hospitals that are now part of the Capella-Saint Thomas health system.

Capella Healthcare's River Park Hospital in McMinnville, White County Community Hospital in Sparta, DeKalb Community Hospital in Smithville and Stones River Hospital in Woodbury partnered with Nashville, Tenn.-based Saint Thomas Health in May. As part of the new relationship, White County Community Hospital was renamed Highlands Medical Center.

Under the new management structure, Bill Little will serve as full-time CEO of Highlands Medical Center. Mr. Little previously served as CEO of three Capella hospitals — DCH, SRH and HMC. HMC's upcoming renovation project demanded the CEO's attention be dedicated to only one hospital.

Bob Luther is now interim CEO of DCH and SRH. He held the position of CEO for these two hospitals from 2006 to 2009.

The Capella-Saint Thomas system also created a new position, market CFO, who will oversee the finances of all four facilities.

The health system has launched a search for a permanent CEO for DCH and SRH and a market CFO.
