Dover, Del.-based Bayhealth and Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md., have announced they are entering into a non-financial partnership to form HealthPartners Delmarva, a new organization through which the hospitals will share best practices and focus on collaborating to improve patient care.

HealthPartners Delmarva, named after the Delmarva Peninsula, is aimed at improving health outcomes for patients while also improving patient satisfaction and cutting healthcare costs, according to a news release.

"Creating the best experience for our patients will mean identifying and adopting best practices that focus on convenience, safety, time and cost efficiency," Terry Murphy, CEO of Bayhealth, in the release. "By bringing together the experience, innovation and patient-centered values of our two health systems, we can be even more prepared for the new realities of healthcare."
