Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center and Glens Falls (N.Y.) Hospital have initiated a process to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Hospital leaders began discussing a partnership a few months ago and secured approval from their respective boards to begin a formal process. According to the release, a leadership committee, including administrators and physicians from each hospital, is being formed to identify and prioritize new opportunities for collaboration.
The hospitals have a long and successful history of working together in services, such as neonatal care, emergency medicine and interventional cardiology. According to the release, the potential partnership is a logical extension of an existing relationship.
