1. MaineHealth to Add Franklin Community Health Network
Franklin Community Health Network in Farmington, Maine, moved forward with a plan to join Portland-based MaineHealth.
2. Cannon Memorial Hospital in South Carolina to Join AnMed Health
Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens, N.C., announced it will join Anderson, N.C.-based AnMed Health, effective Jan. 1.
3. UMass Memorial Health Care to Sell Wing Memorial Hospital to Baystate
Baystate Health in Springfield, Mass., signed a letter of intent to acquire Palmer, Mass.-based Wing Memorial Hospital and Medical Centers, an affiliate of UMass Memorial Health Care in Worcester, Mass.
4. Aspirus, Northstar Health System to Affiliate
Aspirus, based in Wausau, Wis., signed an affiliation deal with Northstar Health System in Iron River, Mich.
5. Faxton St. Luke's, St. Elizabeth Inch Closer to Finishing Merger
Faxton St. Luke's Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center, both based in Utica, N.Y., nearly finalized their merger, as both organizations filed paperwork with federal regulatory agencies.
6. Health Quest Offers to Acquire Assets of Bankrupt St. Francis Hospital
Health Quest, a three-hospital system based in LaGrangeville, N.Y., placed a bid to acquire most assets of Saint Francis Hospital and Health Centers in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
7. Nash Health Care Systems, UNC Health Care to Affiliate
Nash Health Care Systems in Rocky Mount, N.C., announced it will affiliate with Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care.
8. Illinois Approves OSF HealthCare, Kewanee Hospital Deal
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board approved Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare's acquisition of Kewanee (Ill.) Hospital, marking an end to the transaction process.
9. Munroe Regional Approves $425M Lease Agreement With HMA
The Marion County (Fla.) Hospital District board unanimously approved and signed a definitive agreement under which Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates would lease Munroe Regional Medical Center, a 421-bed public hospital in Ocala, Fla.
10. Queen's Health Systems, North Hawaii Community Hospital Finalize Affiliation
The Queen's Health Systems in Honolulu signed a definitive affiliation agreement with North Hawaii Community Hospital in Kamuela.
11. Massachusetts Commission to Review Partners Healthcare, Hallmark Health Deal
The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission said it will review a proposed affiliation between Partners HealthCare in Boston and Hallmark Health System in Melrose, Mass.
12. Billings Clinic to Manage Wheatland Memorial Healthcare
Billings (Mont.) Clinic and Wheatland Memorial Healthcare in Harlowton, Mont., signed a management agreement.
13. Phoebe Putney Cuts Ties With Dorminy Medical Center
Executives at Phoebe Putney Health System, based in Albany, Ga., decided to dissolve its affiliation and management agreement with Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Ga.
