1. St. Elizabeth Healthcare, TriHealth Create Joint Venture Focused on Triple Aim
Citing the triple aim — better health outcomes, improved patient care and reduced costs — Covington, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Cincinnati-based TriHealth signed a letter of intent to create a joint venture organization.

2. OSF HealthCare Strikes Deal to Add Rochelle Community Hospital
Peoria, Ill.-based OSF HealthCare and Rochelle (Ill.) Community Hospital signed an agreement that would add RCH to OSF HealthCare's network.

3. Lenoir Memorial Hospital Seeks Strategic Partner
Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston, N.C., began searching for a strategic partnership with another hospital, health system or hospital company to enhance healthcare services and better serve the community.

4. Pleasant Valley, Cabell Huntington Hospitals Strike Joint Management Agreement
Cabell Huntington (W.Va.) Hospital and Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, W.Va., entered into a joint management services agreement.

A physician-led turnaround company based in Wichita, Kan., Galichia Hospital Group, took over the management and operations of Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, Ind.

10. Aurora Health Care, Bay Area Medical Center Enter Into Formal Partnership Agreement
Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care signed a letter of intent with Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis., to explore a partnership.

11. Nebraska Hospitals Seek to Form Cost-Saving Network
Nine Nebraska hospitals have agreed to form a provider network with the aim of reducing costs.

12. LifePoint Completes 2 Michigan Hospital Transactions
LifePoint Hospitals in Brentwood, Tenn., finalized two separate hospital transactions — a joint venture with Portage Health in Hancock, Mich., and an acquisition of Bell Hospital in Ishpeming, Mich.
