Northern Michigan Regional Health System's goals for the affiliation include improved borrowing power and access to capital, economies of scale for purchasing, shared clinical knowledge, greater efficiencies and increased access to care, according to the report.
Northern Michigan Regional Health System is looking at both non-profit and for-profit organizations and mid- and large-size organizations, including Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Mich.; Superior Health Partners, which was recently created by Bell Hospital in Ishpeming, Mich., and Marquette (Mich.)
