Officials from Milton (Mass.) Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston are engaged in discussions to integrate, but neither institution is saying whether 631-bed Beth Israel is taking control of 81-bed Milton, according to a Patriot Ledger report.
The two institutions have had a business relationship for eight years. Recently, BIDMC and MH have been discussing opportunities to integrate the hospitals' operations, but neither hospital is commenting on whether a merger or acquisition is in the works.
