An Ohio insurer has dropped its request for a hearing on the proposed merger of St. Joseph's Hospital and Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, both in Parkersburg, W.Va., according to a Charleston Gazette report.
The Health Plan of the Upper Ohio Valley had previously opposed Fairmont, W.Va.-based West Virginia United Health System's plan to acquire St. Joseph's and affiliate with Camden-Clark.
