Indiana's Physicians Hospital System Joins Healthcare of Today Network

Mishawaka, Ind.-based Physicians Hospital System will join the network of holding company Healthcare of Today, based in Burbank, Calif., according to a HT news release.

The two organizations have entered into several agreements for HT to acquiring controlling interest in the operating entities for three specialty hospitals and related support entities. Acquisitions are expected to close in mid-February, according to the release.

Cameron Gilbert, MD, president and CEO of PHS, said, "Our system of integrative and dynamic healthcare has proven to be extremely successful even in these very difficult times. The clinical and financial results of PHS speak for themselves. By removing all of the artificial barriers that separate doctors and hospitals, we have truly created something special," according to the release.
