Tampa-based University of South Florida plans to launch a two-year master's degree program in physician assistant studies in 2015, according to a Tampa Bay Business Journal report.
USF hopes the program will help offset Florida's growing primary care provider shortage, according to the report. The program will have about 60 enrolled students once it is up and running.
