Two surgeons are leaving Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates in Raleigh, N.C., to form a new cardiothoracic practice with Rex Healthcare, based in Charlotte, N.C., according to a Triangle Business Journal report.
Rex Cardiothoracic Surgery Specialists will be led by Lance Landvater, MD, and Robert Peyton, MD. The practice will be open to patients next Monday.
When they were with Carolina Cardiovascular Surgical Associates, the physicians performed surgeries at Rex as well as facilities within the WakeMed Health and Hospitals system, which is based in Raleigh, N.C.
