Great Neck, N.Y.-based North Shore-LIJ Health System has added Orthopaedic Associates of Great Neck, a five-physician practice, to the system.
The addition of the practice boosts North Shore-LIJ's network of full-time orthopedists to 42, the largest group in the region, according to the system's news release.
The group's physicians offer a wide range of bone and joint treatments, including arthroscopic and replacement surgery.
"The addition of Orthopaedic Associates strengthens the orthopedic care offered across the health system. We welcome the commitment and quality of care provided by its physicians and staff," Nicholas Sgaglione, MD, North Shore-LIJ's chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery, said in the release.
