Boston Medical Center has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts' Alternative Quality Contract, a global payment model that ties incentive payments to quality, health outcomes and patient experiences.
The AQC contract will also include Boston Medical Center' community-based primary care physicians who are part of the Boston University Affiliated Physicians group and eight affiliated health centers. The contract's goal is to improve care while reducing healthcare costs.
