AHA Launches Organization for Hospital Physicians

The American Hospital Association has launched its Physician Leadership Forum, an organization that will work closely with physicians to identify best practices in value-based care and strengthen physician leadership in hospitals, according to the PLF website.

The organization is led by John R. Combes, MD, senior vice president of the AHA. A 20-member board including leaders from HCA, Mayo Clinic and Geisinger Health System, among other prominent institutions, will steer the forum.

The organization focuses on hospital-employed physicians, sharing best practices, resources and news for this specific audience. To learn more about the AHA's Physician Leadership Forum, visit the website here.
