St. Louis-based Tiller-Hewitt HealthCare Strategies signed 43 hospitals and health systems to its Physician-Hospital Relations program this year, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The program uses Lean Six Sigma methodology to collaboratively improve business efficiency and effectiveness by employing lean management strategies and eliminating waste. Through the program, 350 hospitals have increased their top line revenue by an average of $2 million in the first year. Through direct line communication with providers, the program can increase market share in primary and secondary markets.
The recently added partnerships span 15 states, 24 markets and 8,500 beds. Hospitals range from 63 beds to 412 beds each.
