Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pa., has laid off nine employees, including seven full-time equivalent positions, according to a Courier Times report.
The layoffs are the hospital's first since 2008. Hospital officials said the affected employees worked in radiology and "ancillary" departments, and the layoffs were not announced to help the hospital emerge from bankruptcy but to maintain "efficient" staffing levels, according to the report.
