Birmingham, Ala.-based Doster Construction Company announced last week it will immediately begin building a $27.3 million physician office at Mobile, Ala.-based USA Children's and Women's Hospital, according to Alabama Media Group.
The three-story, 133,000-square foot facility will house 15 outpatient clinics and offices for family medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, neurology and physical therapy. The facility is expected to handle a capacity of 150,000 patient visits each year, according to the report.
Mobile-based University of South Alabama's Board of Trustees approved the project in December 2013.
