St. Louis-based nonprofit health system SSM Health Care will integrate health services across their four-state system with a name change and a renewed mission, which the company said will be unveiled next week.
The company will toast new "SSM Health" signage Monday morning. SSM Health dropped "care" from its name to demonstrate their commitment to general health and wellness, rather than treating illness, according to a company statement. The rebranding marks a renewed focus on patient experience.
SSM Health manages 19 hospitals, more than 60 outpatient care facilities, two accountable care organizations, two nursing homes, home care and hospice services, a pharmacy benefit company, an insurance company and a technology company across Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
