Officials at Southern Coos Hospital in Bandon, Ore., announced they will lay off up to 10 more employees by the end of this week, according to a Bandon Western World report.
Since August, 15 hospital employees have been laid off or left their positions, including hospital CNO Lonnie Scarborough, which drew sharp criticism from the public. The report did not include details on which departments would be affected by the next round of layoffs.
Hospital CFO Shirley Holt reported that if all revenue ceased, the hospital would have enough cash to stay open for only 13 days, according to the report.
