Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, based in Nassawadox, Va., has expanded its already existing no-smoking policy to include all owned or leased property, according to a Delmarva Now report.
Currently, the healthcare organization's no-smoking policy allows smoking in some designated areas around the hospital campus. Now, visitors, patients and staff are no longer allowed to smoke on any property, including inside vehicles in the hospital's parking lot, according to the report.
The new no-smoking policy goes into effect Jan. 1.
