Toledo, Ohio-based ProMedica is converting a golf course into full-service hospital in Adrian Township, Mich., according to The News-Messenger.
The new 145,000-square foot hospital will replace two existing ProMedica hospitals: 88-bed Adrian, Mich.-based Bixby Hospital and 25-bed Tecumseh, Mich.-based Herrick Hospital. The consolidation will centralize and strengthen services, according to ProMedica officials.
Construction begins 2016 on the facility, which is expected to include 80 acute-care beds, an emergency department, surgery center, cancer center, women's health center and an inpatient psychiatric unit, according to the report.
