Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga., has cut 33 leadership positions, according to a report by WALB.
Some of the affected employees will be offered other jobs at Phoebe Putney, according to the report.
Hospital officials pointed to the state's decision to not accept federal dollars for Medicaid expansion, as well as reduced reimbursements and uncertainties surrounding healthcare reform as the reason for the layoffs, according to WALB.
