Patrick Mahon has been appointed chairman of the board of directors at Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs, Conn., and its principal subsidiaries: Johnson Memorial Hospital, Home and Community Health Services and Johnson Health Care, by Trinity Health-New England, the regional health ministry owned by Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health.
Here are five things to know about Mr. Mahon.
1. Earlier this year, the Johnson entities joined Trinity Health-New England, and a new board of directors was created. Mr. Mahon was chairman of the previous board since 2013.
2. Mr. Mahon is a principal with Mullen & Mahon, an insurance agency in Stafford Springs.
3. He is also currently chairman of the State of Connecticut Insurance & Risk Management Board Claims Committee.
4. He previously served as president and as chairman of the board of the Independent Insurance Agents of Connecticut.
5. Mr. Mahon earned a bachelor's degree at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C.
