The Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems President and CEO Andy Davidson plans to step down from the role at the end of 2019.
Here are five notes:
1. Mr. Davidson assumed the top post at the organization in 2005.
2. During his tenure, Mr. Davidson helped create of the state's Hospital Transformation Performance Program as well as the NW Safety and Quality Partnership, a regional patient safety and quality program.
3. Additionally, he worked early on with lawmakers and Governor John Kitzhaber to design Oregon's Coordinated Care Model.
4. He is a founding board member of the Oregon Health Leadership Council, a multistakeholder collaborative that aims to increase access to high-quality care in the state.
5. The organization, which represents all hospitals in the state, plans to conduct a nationwide search for a new CEO.
