Youngstown, Ohio-based Forum Health has changed its name to ValleyCare Health System, representing the Mahoning Valley area the hospital system serves, according to a news release by the health system.
ValleyCare operates three hospitals — Northside Medical Center, Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital — and affiliated healthcare facilities. Each hospital will keep its own name, but will call itself an affiliate of the ValleyCare Health System.
Signage will be updated in the coming months and the system will launch an advertising campaign to build awareness of the new name.
Community Health Systems acquired Forum Health in October of last year, after the system voluntarily entered bankruptcy to reorganize under Chapter 11.
