Nurses Picket at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence Over Staffing Levels

Nurses at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, R.I., picketed yesterday, calling for increased staffing, according to a Boston Globe report.

The nurses' picketing follows a months-long hiring freeze at the hospital. The nurses called for permanent hires to replace temporary nurses.

The hospital says a decrease in volume has led to the staffing changes.
