Charlotte, N.C.-based Presbyterian Healthcare is set to begin construction later this year on a new, $90 million hospital near Mint Hill, N.C., according to a Charlotte Observer report.
The facility will open in three phases, with the emergency department scheduled to open first, in 2013. This will be followed by a surgical facility and a patient tower, according to the report.
Presbyterian, which is part of Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health, was originally scheduled to open the Mint Hill facility year, but the recession delayed construction plans.
