New Hampshire's Catholic Medical Center to Lay Off 101 Employees

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, N.H., will lay off 101 employees, becoming the third New Hampshire hospital in the past month to announce layoffs, according to an Eagle-Tribune report.

CMC will also be limiting community health programs and alter its 24/7 call center service. The hospital cited reduced Medicaid reimbursements as the cause for the reductions.

The report said Elliot Health System in Manchester, N.H., and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, N.H., laid off portions of their workforces in late July.
