New CEO at Beth Israel Deaconess Says Partnerships a Key Priority for the Health System

Kevin Tabb, MD, who recently finalized a contract to become the next CEO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, told the Boston Globe that while it's too early to provide a detailed strategy for the health system, partnerships with other healthcare organizations and providers will be one of his first priorities.

Dr. Tabb currently serves as chief medical officer at Stanford Hospital and Clinics in Palo Alto, Calif.

"This is the most competitive market in the country, and we need to be ready for change," he said in the Globe report. "It's clear to me we're going to have to form partnerships, that’s one of the very first things I‘ll be working on.’"
