Montefiore to cut 149 jobs

New York City-based Montefiore Health System is eliminating 149 jobs at its Care Management Organization office, according to News 12 Westchester.

The job cuts, which will affect areas such as data analytics and claims, are the result of changes made after contracting issues made it difficult for Montefiore to promptly secure quality data, Montefiore told the the Rockland/Westchester Journal News.

"As we plan for the future, we remain committed to value-based care and are working to ensure that all of our contracts with payors have appropriate terms to support our success improving care, quality and overall patient experience," Montefiore said in a statement to the publication.

Some of those affected by the jobs cuts may fill other vacant positions throughout the Montefiore system, according to the report.
