Mercy in Toledo, Ohio, is laying off 38 people and curbing hours for 20 other employees as part of a reorganization plan, according to a Toledo Blade report.
A spokesperson for Mercy, which is part of Cincinnati-based Catholic Health Partners, did not confirm the timeframe for the layoffs, how many people would be placed into new positions or whether more layoffs will occur in 2013.
Employees affected by the reorganization plan are in administrative support, inpatient therapy and supply management.
