Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health's board of directors is discussing plans to build a 200-bed replacement hospital in Bloomington, Ind., according to WISH-TV.
The proposed facility will replace the current 279-bed facility and include all private rooms and an outpatient surgery center. The new hospital's location has not yet been decided. It may be located on the hospital's current campus or on a property on the west side of Bloomington, according to the report.
A final decision is expected from the IU board within a month. Design, development and construction are expected to take three years.
