Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare launched a value-based care company July 16 called "Castell" that aims to help other healthcare organizations implement models of care tested at Intermountain.
Castell packages lessons learned at Intermountain into a platform of tools and services that can be replicated at other institutions. These include Intermountain's "Reimagined Primary Care" model — a value-based clinical care model — as well as digital tools and best practices.
Castell will be led by Rajesh Shrestha, who is also vice president and COO of community-based care at Intermountain. "The health platform capabilities, tools, and resources that Castell provides will strengthen the ability of the health ecosystem to thrive in a value-based care environment," Mr. Shrestha said in a press release.
