The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board is expected to vote on whether or not Oak Forest (Ill.) Hospital should be converted to a 24-hour immediate care center, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
The regulators have already denied two requests by the Cook County Health & Hospitals System, first to entirely close down the hospital and then to convert the Oak Forest Hospital into an outpatient facility.
The health system hopes it can save money by converting Oak Forest Hospital into an immediate care center instead.
