Recruiting digitally is now more popular than ever, and it's also the most effective method of bringing in new employees, a recent Gallup survey suggested.
In November 2023, Gallup surveyed 19,836 U.S. adults working full or part time, according to a July 31 article.
Of those surveyed, nearly 25% had been recruited by another organization within the past three months, up from 19% in 2015.
Half of those recently recruited said the organization discovered them through LinkedIn or another professional networking website, up from 39% in 2015.
Those recruited online were the most likely to leave their current role, according to Gallup. Among those recruited through online job sites, 70% said they were likely to leave. For those recruited on professional networking websites, such as LinkedIn, 61% were likely to leave.
This compares to 56% of those recruited by word of mouth or by a friend, colleague or former colleague.
