William T. Manson III will become CEO of Anderson, S.C.-based AnMed Health as of Jan. 1, 2015.
AnMed Health is a 690-bed nonprofit health system in South Carolina with more than 400 physicians on staff. The system is affiliated with Pickens, S.C.-based Cannon Memorial Hospital and Elberton, Ga.-based Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Manson was voted unanimously into the role of CEO after serving for more than 30 years at AnMed. He has overseen day-to-day operations of the system since he was named president and COO of AnMed in 1998.
Mr. Manson is chairman-elect of the South Carolina Hospital Association board. He is a past chairman of the Anderson Area Chambers of Commerce board and past president of the Anderson Free Clinic Board.
