Kenneth W. Bateman, CPA, MHA, was recently named president and CEO of Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based SoutheastHEALTH System, Dec. 15.
Mr. Bateman has held numerous leadership positions throughout his career and has improved financial growth, quality and delivery of timely results in numerous renowned hospitals and health systems. Known as a collaborative administrator, Mr. Bateman specializes in building relationships with workers at various levels of the organization, including physicians and board executives.
Most recently, Mr. Bateman served as CEO for the last decade at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville, N.J., where he previously served as senior vice president and CFO. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Bateman served as director of corporate finance at JFK Health System in Edison, N.J., and before that as CFO of Preferred Behavioral Health of New Jersey in Lakewood.
