Question: Who or what are the disruptors that have your attention? Why?

Traxler Marcy Headshot

Marcy Traxler: The biggest disrupter that has my attention is consumerism and the demand for quick, easy, healthcare. As everyone pays more out of pocket for services we have to deliver value at the price point that the experience deserves. Those that can offer a variety of access points to provide a satisfying retail healthcare experience at the right price points will be successful.

Q: Please share a new consumer-centric capability your organization has built or tapped into within the past 18 months.

MT: AMITA launched a new e-visit platform to create more access at a lower price point to reach customers that want to access the basic suite of healthcare services immediately.

Q: How do you see the barrier between competitors and collaborators changing?

MT: Markets are changing so fast that the lines between competitors and collaborators are very blurred. The words competitor and collaborator are very static. I think in terms of "frenemies" – Institutions, programs or people that I respect, but that I am also wary of. You have to be fluid nowadays and be able to partner around common interests. It is tricky to find places where we can work together, knowing that there are places where will absolutely compete head-to-head.
