1. Halifax Health lays off 25 employees
Halifax Health Medical Center, a 678-bed hospital in Daytona Beach, Fla., is laying off 25 employees.
2. Troubled Vermont hospital announces major restructuring
Springfield (Vt.) Hospital revealed a restructuring of operations that includes layoffs and wage cuts.
3. Washington hospital will lay off staff, freeze wages to stay afloat
Garfield County Hospital in Pomeroy, Wash., will lay off staff and freeze wages to keep its doors open.
4. Adventist Health to lay off 1,300+, keep wildfire-damaged hospital closed
Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health will not reopen its hospital in Paradise, Calif., and finalized more than 1,300 layoffs.
5. Seres Therapeutics cuts 30% of workforce, shuffles leadership
As part restructuring, Seres Therapeutics, a Cambridge, Mass.-based drugmaker developing biological treatments, will lay off 30 percent of its workforce and make changes to its executive team.
