Residents in four states will vote on measures to legalize marijuana for either recreational or medical use this November, reports The Washington Post.
Michigan and North Dakota's ballots both contain initiatives to legalize recreational marijuana use for adults. Utah's ballot contains a measure to permit medical marijuana, while Missouri's ballot features three initiatives to legalize marijuana for medical uses.
The ballot initiatives follow numerous states' actions to legalize the drug. Vermont became the ninth state in the U.S. to legalize marijuana possession in early 2018. In addition, Oklahoma greenlit one of the most progressive medical marijuana bills in the country in June, according to The Washington Post.
