3 tips to help executives stop feeling stressed and overworked

Though executives can often feel pressured to cram as much work into their day as possible, with a workday that sometimes doesn't end even when they leave the office, it is important for one's mental health to keep a reasonable workload and practice techniques that reduce stress, according to Psychology Today.

Listed below are three tips to help executives stop feeling stressed and overworked.

1. Don't frame productivity in terms of hours, but instead think of a slightly looser schedule as beneficial to your business because it is beneficial to you and your own mental well-being.

2. Find your reasons for change, whether they are for health or family relationships, and embrace these goals as you would goals for your business. Reducing your schedule is not a sign of weakness, but instead indicative of a disciplined leader who is able to stick to priorities they set for themselves.

3. Make one or two concrete changes, such as leaving 30 minutes between scheduled meetings or scheduling a meeting with yourself every day to give you time to take a walk or do some breathing exercises.
