Lance Anastasio, president and CEO of Winter Haven (Fla.) Hospital, has notified the hospital's board of directors that he is planning to retire at the end of 2012, according to a news report by The Ledger.
Although the retirement date isn't official, the projected timeline would give hospital leaders time to search for a replacement chief executive. Mr. Anastasio has been serving at the helm of the hospital for the past 35 years. He first joined the hospital's administrative team in 1969 as the director of finance and an associate administrator.
