Ed Harding, president and CEO of Columbus (Wis.) Community Hospital will step down to take the CEO position at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis., according to a Beaver Dam Daily Citizen report.
Mr. Harding will remain at CCH until Dec. 3 to move forward with key projects, including the hospital's upcoming renovation project. Over the past few years, Mr. Harding has led the hospital through the construction of a new emergency room and a new fourth floor for inpatients. He was also instrumental in securing an affiliation with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin/St. Mary's.
The hospital has begun a national search for Mr. Harding's replacement. The search firm will also choose an interim CEO to lead the hospital during the transition period.
